Commissions
Commission an original piece.
I accept a limited number of commissions each year for original works on paper. Each piece is developed in my existing visual language — from detailed ink and mixed-media drawings to abstract watercolor and layered color studies.
Custom work is artist-led and considered based on subject, size, schedule, and fit.
Representative work — example of style and approach
Types of Commission
Three directions, drawn from my existing practice.
Detailed Ink & Mixed Media
Dense linework, architectural environments, layered texture, and iterative world-building. Pen, ink, and mixed media on paper.
Good fit for
- A place, object, memory, or idea
- Surreal or speculative imagery
- Work that leaves room for invention
Abstract Watercolor & Mixed Media
Intuitive color, gestural mark-making, texture, and layered washes. Watercolor and mixed media on paper.
Good fit for
- A desired size or broad color direction
- Work intended for a particular room
- An emotional quality or visual energy
Select Figure or Portrait-Inspired Work
Available for select inquiries. Developed in the existing visual language — not photorealistic portraiture.
Not offered
- Direct copies of unlicensed photos
- Celebrity portraits, unlicensed references
- Replicas of existing artworks
Representative Work
Examples of style and approach.
These pieces are not previous commissions. They illustrate direction, mark-making, and visual language.
Every image above is labeled honestly as representative work or an example of style and approach — never presented as a prior commission unless it was one.
Process
How a commission works.
01
Submit an inquiry
Fill out the inquiry form with as much detail as possible — subject, scale, preferred style, and any reference images.
02
Initial conversation
If the request is a good fit, I'll follow up to clarify scope, timeline, and confirm whether to proceed.
03
Deposit and brief
A deposit secures your place on the schedule. I finalize the direction and begin development.
04
Progress and review
You'll receive in-progress updates. Revisions are limited and focused — directional feedback, not redesigns.
05
Final payment and shipping
Balance is due on completion. The finished work ships carefully packaged with tracking.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
Do you accept all commission requests?
No. Commissions are considered based on subject fit, schedule, and whether the request aligns with my visual language. If something isn't a good fit, I'll say so clearly.
Can I request a specific subject or theme?
Yes — within the scope of what I work on. Subject direction is welcome. Requests for work outside my existing visual range won't proceed.
How many revisions are included?
Two focused opportunities for directional feedback are included. These are intended to refine the agreed direction rather than redesign the piece. Additional changes may require a revised quote.
What if I'm not happy with the result?
In-progress feedback provides an opportunity to course-correct within the agreed brief. Because commissions are artist-led, the final work will reflect my established visual language rather than an exact predetermined result. The deposit is non-refundable once work begins.
Is shipping included?
Shipping terms are stated in the proposal and may vary by size and destination.
Can you rush a commission?
Rush work may be possible depending on scope and availability. Additional fees may apply.
